So funny, and so true!

Life is so much better with an iPhone. Specifically, with Words with Friends. It’s Scrabble, but you can play games with random opponents at your own pace. Thank you, God. Which may be interchangeable with Steve Jobs and NewToy, Inc. Just sometimes.
Okay, okay, okay, okay, I’ll admit it.
I’ve read Twilight.
I’ve read the three books that came after.
There, now it’s out: I am a 13 year old girl at heart.
Still, I do think the whole series is flawed and would like to proclaim Stephenie Meyer as a horrible writer. (Hello, end battle scene of Breaking Dawn, are you kidding me?)
But I could never sum it up as elegantly as the lovely folks at Cracked.com, with their amazingly awesome review.
And this picture makes me burst out laughing every time:
From blossoms comes
this brown paper bag of peaches
we bought from the boy
at the bend in the road where we turned toward
signs painted Peaches.
From laden boughs, from hands,
from sweet fellowship in the bins,
comes nectar at the roadside, succulent
peaches we devour, dusty skin and all,
comes the familiar dust of summer, dust we eat.
O, to take what we love inside,
to carry within us an orchard, to eat
not only the skin, but the shade,
not only the sugar, but the days, to hold
the fruit in our hands, adore it, then bite into
the round jubilance of peach.
There are days we live
as if death were nowhere
in the background; from joy
to joy to joy, from wing to wing,
from blossom to blossom to
impossible blossom, to sweet impossible blossom.
You know what? I’m not a blogger. I rarely write posts. BUT. I visit this site often. It contains all my favorite cooking blogs and I go there almost every day for inspiration. So, I’ve decided this place will be my marking place for all the blogs and other web-things that I love.
